Eagles Announce That They’ve Signed First-Round Pick OLB Marcus Smith

The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have officially signed first-round pick OLB Marcus Smith to a four-year contract.

Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports is “hearing” that the Eagles are close to signing first-round pick OLB Marcus Smith to a contract.

  • Getlin adds that a deal could be completed later in the day.

Smith happens to be the only draft pick from the Eagles’ 2014 class who has yet to sign his rookie contract.

According to OverTheCap.com, Smith’s four-year deal is worth an estimated $7,799,096 and includes a signing bonus of $3,992,072.

At Louisville, Smith totaled 83 tackles, 32 tackles for a loss, 24 sacks, eight forced fumbles and one interception over the course of three years.
