The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have signed exclusive-rights free agent DE Cedric Thornton to one-year deal.
Thornton, 25, signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Arkansas back in 2011. He appeared in all 16 games for the Eagles last season and totaled 60 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble.
Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 9 defensive end in a 3-4 scheme last season and particularly strong against the run.
He’ll be a restricted free agent in 2015.
