Eagles Sign Draft Picks CB Jaylen Watkins & DL Taylor Hart

The Philadelphia Eagles signed fourth-round pick CB Jaylen Watkins and fifth-round selection DL Taylor Hart on Monday, according to Adam Caplan.

  • The Eagles also signed DB Davon Morgan and released DB John Fulton.

Philadelphia now has three of their seven draft picks under contract. Both Watkins and Hart will receive four-year deals.

Watkins is actually the brother of Bills WR Sammy Watkins. He started 28 games over the course of his four-year college career at Florida. Watkins totaled 133 tackle, four tackles for loss, three interceptions and 24 passes defensed.

Watkins offers plenty of speed and athleticism, and should be able to contribute on special teams for the Eagles.

Hart started 39 games at Oregon and totaled  22.5 career tackles for loss, 16 sacks, and five forced fumbles. He also has great athleticism and speed, especially for his size, so it will be interesting to see what kind role he’s capable of carving out in the coming years.
