The Eagles announced that they are signing QB Aaron Murray to their practice squad and released WR Marcus Johnson to make room for him.

It is worth mentioning that Murray played for Eagles HC Doug Pederson while he was in Kansas City, so there’s an obvious connection between the two.
Murray, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2014. He’s was in the third year of his four-year, $2,402,424 rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season when the Chiefs elected to waive him to get down to the 53-man limit.
The Cardinals later signed him to their practice squad just a few days later but elected to waive him on Monday.
Murray has yet to appear in an NFL game.
