Eagles Signing QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson

Adam Caplan of ESPN is reporting that the Eagles are signing QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson to a contract pending a physical.

It’s likely that Bethel-Thompson will have to compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.

Bethel-Thompson, 27, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Sacramento State back in 2011. He has bounced around quite a bit since he entered the league, which includes short stints with the Dolphins, Vikings and Patriots.

Bethel-Thompson was most recently with the 49ers, but has yet to appear in an NFL game.
