Eagles Sign RB Kenjon Barner To Their Practice Squad

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Tuesday that they have signed RB Kenjon Barner to their practice after the Dolphins signed S Jordan Kovacs from their practice unit.

The Eagles actually brought Barner in for a visit a few week and HC Chip Kelly is more than familiar with him given that he played his college football at Oregon.

Barner, 25, came over in a trade with the Panthers back in August. The deal would have sent a 2015 conditional seventh round pick if Barner was on Eagles active roster for at least four games, but he last just a few weeks with the team before he was ultimately waived with an injury settlement.

Barner was taken in the sixth round of the 2013 draft by the Panthers.

Last year, Barner rushed for seven yards on six carries while catching two passes for seven yards, and contributing 17 yards as a kick returner.
