Eagles Sign S Malcolm Jenkins To A Four-Year Extension For $35M

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Malcolm Jenkins‘ new contract with the Eagles is a four-year extension worth $35 million and includes $21 million guaranteed.

  • Jenkins is now under team control through the 2020 season and will make $10 million in 2016.

The Philadelphia Eagles announce Monday that they’ve reached an agreement on a five-year deal with S Malcolm Jenkins.

Jenkins, 28, was entering the final year of his three-year, $15.5 million contract that included $8.5 million guaranteed. He was set to make a base salary of $5 million for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Jenkins appeared in all 16 games for the Eagles and recorded 110 tackles, two interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, three forced fumbles, a recovery and 10 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has Jenkins rated s the No. 2 safety out of 88 qualifying players.
