Eagles Sign WR Dom Williams To Futures Deal

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed WR Dom Williams to a future/reserve contract on Wednesday, according to Michael Gehlken.

Williams becomes the 12th player to sign a futures deal with the Eagles. The full list includes:

  3. G Darrell Green
  4. CB Aaron Grymes
  5. WR Marcus Johnson
  6. C Aaron Neary
  7. DT Aziz Shittu
  8. WR David Watford
  9. WR Rasheed Bailey
  10. CB Mitchell White
  11. G Josh LeRibeus
  12. WR Dom Williams

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.

Williams, 26, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Chargers as an undafted free agent out of Washington State back in May. He was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason but later finished out the year on the Chargers practice squad.

During his college career, Williams caught 192 passes for 2,889 yards receiving and 30 touchdowns.
