Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that league sources have informed him that the Philadelphia Eagles will consider bringing in Oregon head coach Chip Kelly as a replacement for Andy Reid next season.
Executives around the league expect the Eagles to make a “heavy push” to land Kelly. La Canfora adds that the Eagles are expected to be one of the first teams to reach out to him regarding the position.
There will definitely be a lot of interest in Kelly if he’s really prepared to make the jump to the NFL, but the Eagles at least appear to be among the most serious suitors.
