Eagles To Sign RB Boston Scott Off Saints’ P-Squad

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Eagles are expected to sign RB Boston Scott off of the Saints’ practice squad with Corey Clement dealing with a knee injury.

Scott, 23, was selected in the sixth round of this year’s NFL draft by the Saints. He signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with New Orleans and was set to make a base salary of $485,000 for the 2018 season when the Saints waived him coming out of the preseason.

The Saints later signed Scott to their practice squad after clearing waivers.

During his college career at Louisiana Tech, Scott rushed for 1,840 yards on 288 carries (6.4 YPC) to go along with 32 receptions for 307 yards receiving and 15 total touchdowns over the course of 38 games. He also contributed 633 kick return yards on 29 attempts (21.8 YPA).
