Eagles To Use Low Resticted Tender On RB Chris Polk

Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com reports that the Eagles have plan to use a low tender on restricted free agent RB Chris Polk this offseason.

This move will cost the Eagles around $1.5 million or so for the 2015 season.

However, teams can still sign him to a contract and because he was an undrafted free agent out of Washington back in 2012, they wouldn’t owe the Eagles and draft compensation to sign him.

Philadelphia just sent LeSean McCoy for LB Kiko Alonso and a bunch of cap space, so they could really use some depth a running back.

In 2014, Polk ran for 172 yards on 46 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with two receptions for 16 yards and four touchdowns over the course of 14 games.
