Eagles Tried Out 8 Players Including CB Tay Glover-Wright & WR Greg Ellingson

According to Adam Caplan, the Eagles brought in WR Greg Ellingson and CB Tay Glover-Wright for a workout on Tuesday.

Other players Philadelphia worked out include P Richie Leone, LS Tyler Ott, DB Matt Smalley, WR Dez Stewart, P Taylor Symmank, and DB Mitchell White.

Glover-Wright, 23, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Utah State. He was waived during the preseason, but later signed a future/reserve contract with the Packers.

Unfortunately, Glover-Wright was among the Packers’ final roster cuts at the start of the season. He later signed to the Colts’ practice squad and was eventually promoted to the active roster to close the year.

Indianapolis added him to their practice squad last offseason but waived him one week later. The Colts brought him back to their practice squad back in September but waived him to make room for OLB Deiontrez Mount.

In 2015, Glover-Wright appeared in two games for the Colts after being called up from their practice squad.

Ellingson, 28, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent Florida International back in 2011 but was waived near the end of training camp. The Buccaneers later signed him to a contract but never appeared for the team before being released.

The Bears worked out Ellingson in recent weeks but did not sign him to a contract.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
