Eagles Trying To Trade ILB Najee Goode

Jeff McLane, citing a league source, reports that the Eagles are trying to trade ILB Najee Goode.

This probably shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given that Eagles’ depth at the inside linebacker position.

Goode, 26, has one year remaining on his four-year, $2.307 million rookie contract that included a $206,900 signing bonus. He stands to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent next March.

It seems unlikely that the Eagles would be able to get any more than a late-round pick in return for him at this point in the NFL calendar.

In 2014, Goode was limited to appearing in just one game for the Eagles after he was placed on season-ending injured reserve with a pectoral injury.
