Eagles “Extremely Unlikely” To Trade QB Nick Foles

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer is “hearing” that the Eagles are “extremely unlikely” to trade QB Nick Foles now that he has lost the quarterback competition to Michael Vick.

This is a one-quarterback operation. This isn’t going to be someone’s going to look over their shoulder,” said Kelly.

McLane mentions that should Vick get injured in the regular season, the Eagles would be without a viable option to back him up, so it does make sense to keep him around for at least this season.

They still have fourth-round pick QB Matt Barkley on their roster, so it will be interesting to see what happens with Foles this offseason.
