Eagles Waive CB Daryl Worley

The Philadephia Eagles announced Sunday that they’ve waived CB Daryl Worley.

This comes after Worley was arrested Sunday morningĀ in Philadelphia after he became combative with police and they used a taser on him. Worley was reportedly found passed out inside a vehicle blocking a highway. 911 was called and he was later arrested.

The incident reportedly took place near the Eagles’ facility.

Reports mentioned that the Eagles were likely to move on from Worley following the incident, so this doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

Worley, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Panthers back in 2016. He’s currently entering the third year of his four-year, $3.23 million contract and set to make base salaries of $630,000 and $735,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

The Panthers traded him to the Eagles in return for WR Torrey Smith last month.

In 2017, Worley appeared in 15 games and recorded 64 tackles, one sack, two interceptions and 10 pass defenses.Ā Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 89 cornerback out of 120 qualifying players.
