Eagles Waive CB Duke Thomas From Practice Squad, Re-Sign G Darrell Greene

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Friday that they’ve signed G Darrell Greene to their practice squad and waived CB Duke Thomas from the unit.

The Eagles’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. RB Byron Marshall
  2. DT Aziz Shittu
  3. WR David Watford
  4. WR Paul Turner
  5. C Aaron Neary
  6. QB Aaron Murray
  7. G Matt Rotherman
  8. G Darrell Greene
  9. TE Anthony Denham
  10. LB Don Cherry

Thomas, 22, wound up signing on with the Texans after going undrafted out of Texas back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Texans and was set to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.

Unfortunately, the Texans elected to waive Thomas with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and later reverted to their injured reserve. Thomas later signed onto the Eagles practice squad a few weeks ago.

During his four-year college career, Thomas recorded 169 tackles, one sack, six interceptions, a forced fumble and 20 pass defenses for Texas.
