Eagles Waive Dorial Green-Beckham, Sign QB Dane Evans

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Friday that they’ve placed WR Dorial Green-Beckham on waivers and signed QB Dane Evans to a three-year contract.

There had been talk that Green-Beckham was likely to be out in Philadelphia this year, given that the Eagles invested heavily in the receiver position this offseason and it appears as though the team felt like they should make this move now, rather than wait around to August.

Green-Beckham, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Titans back in 2015. He spent one year in Tennessee before he was traded to the Eagles in return for veteran OL Dennis Kelly.

Green-Beckham is currently in the third year of his four-year, $5,603,597 contract and stands to make a base salary of $944,418 for the 2017 season.

In 2016, Green-Beckham appeared in 15 games for the Eagles and caught 36 passes for 392 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
