Eagles Worked Out Seven Players Including QB Paxton Lynch

Field Yates reports that the Eagles brought in former Broncos QB Paxton Lynch for a workout this week.

According to Howard Balzer, the Philadelphia Eagles worked out a total of seven players on Tuesday including:

  1. WR Kamar Aiken
  2. WR Breshad Perriman
  3. WR Shane Wynn
  4. RB Martez Carter
  5. RB Fitzgerald Toussaint
  6. QB Paxton Lynch
  7. LB Albert McClellan

Of this group, the Eagles are signing Aiken to a contract.

This is the third reported tryout for Lynch since he became available after meeting with the Bills and Lions. However, he left both meetings without a contract.

Lynch, 24, was taken with the No. 26 overall pick after the Broncos traded up from No. 31 overall to get him in 2016 NFL Draft. Lynch signed a four-year, $9.4 million contract that includes $7.88 guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $1.31 million this season when the Broncos waived him this last weekend.

In 2017, Lynch appeared in two games for the Broncos and completed 66.7 percent of his passes to go along with two touchdowns and three interceptions. He also rushed for 30 yards.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
