Eagles Place S Jerome Couplin On I.R. & Promote S Ed Reynolds

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Friday that they’ve placed S Jerome Couplin on season-ending injured reserve and promoted S Ed Reynolds to their active roster.

Couplin, 24, is in the second year of his three-year, $1.53 million rookie contract and stands to make base salaries of $510,000 and $600,000 over the final two years of the agreement.

His 2015 season ends with him recording five tackles over the course of eight games for the Eagles.

Reynolds, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Eagles back in May of last year. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to their practice squad.

Reynolds has yet to appear in an NFL game.
