Colts Could Also Be An Option For Ed Reed

ESPN’s Adam Schefter tossed out the Indianapolis Colts as another potential landing spot for Ravens S Ed Reed this offseason, via Rotoworld.

Colts head coach Chuck Pagano was previously the defensive coordinator for the Ravens, so he’s more than familiar with Reed. The Colts added DE Cory Redding last year since he had played in Pagano’s defensive scheme previously, so it’s not too farfetched that they could also add Reed to their underwhelming secondary.

We have Reed listed as the No. 42 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents List.

Ravens S Ed Reed told reporters that he could “definitely” see himself playing for Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, per Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald.

He is a great coach.” said Reed, “I’m sure he can help me to expand my football knowledge even more as a player and as a coach, so if I’m ever able to be around him, just like I was at the Pro Bowl, it’s huge.”

Belichick is a well documented supporter of Reed and the fact that he’ll be a free agent after the season at least suggests that there’s a chance he could be playing for the Patriots next season. New England’s secondary has been pretty terrible in recent years and Belichick is known to take chances on aging players.

Reed has been contemplating retirement for the past couple of seasons, but recently mentioned that he has no plans to retire next season.
