Eli Rogers Leaves Visit With Chiefs, Set To Meet With Browns Next

Field Yates of ESPN reports that free agent WR Eli Rogers is leaving his visit with the Chiefs without a deal. The plan for Rogers is to now travel to Cleveland and meet with the Browns.

Yates mentions that Roger played three seasons for Browns OC Todd Haley while in Pittsburgh.

Rogers is working his way back from a torn ACL that he suffered in January, but Schefter says he’s made a strong and quicker-than-expected comeback from his injury.

Last week, Rogers said he’s looking forward to deciding which team he’ll be playing for in 2018 over the next few days.

Rogers, 25, wound up signing on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in 2015. He played out the final year of his three-year, $1,580,000 contract with the Steelers and has been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2017, Rogers appeared in 14 games for the Steelers and caught 18 passes for 149 yards receiving and one touchdown.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
