Extension Talks For Rams HC Jeff Fisher & GM Les Snead Expected To Pick Up

Vincent Bonsignore of the Los Angeles Daily News reports that extension talks between the Rams and both HC Jeff Fisher and GM Les Snead are expected to pick up in the coming months.

The idea with extending Fisher’s contract is that the team would prevent him from being a lame-duck coach, considering that he is entering the final year of his contract.

Also, with the team relocating to Los Angeles this year, it would give them time to settle in without a major shake up on top of what they’re already dealing with in regards to the move.

Previous reports had said that extensions could be coming for both Fisher and Snead, but there hasn’t been much buzz until now.

Interestingly enough, Fisher has experience being in charge of a team relocating, as he was the Oilers head coach when they moved to Tennessee and became the Titans.

Since taking the job in 2012, Fisher has led the Rams to a record of 27-36 (43 percent), which includes four straight seasons of less than eight wins.

We’ll have more regarding a potential extension for Fisher as the news is available.
