Falcons Agree To Terms With DT Paul Soliai, G Jon Asamoah & DE Tyson Jackson

The Atlanta Falcons have arguably been the most active team in the first hour of free agency.

Soliai, 30, was widely considered to beĀ the best available nose tackle in this year’s free agent market.Ā Last year, Soliai totaledĀ 35 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble over the course of 15 games. He was rated as the No. 20 defensive tackle in the league byĀ Pro Football Focus.

Jackson, 27,Ā totaledĀ 33 tackles and four sacks over the course 15 games last season. He was rated as the No. 14 defensive end in a 3-4 system, according toĀ Pro Football Focus.

Asamoah, 25, was clearly one of the best interior lineman available in this year’s free agent class. He has connections to new Falcons executive Scott Pioli, so this move makes a lot of sense.Ā Pro Football FocusĀ rated Asamoah as the No. 20 guard in the league last season and decent pass-blocker.
