Falcons & Bears Pushing To Sign Broncos LB Danny Trevathan

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Falcons are Bears are the two teams making the strongest push to sign Broncos free agent LB Danny Trevathan.

  • Brad Biggs reported that Trevathan appears to be looking around $7 million per season.

The Titans have also come up as a potential option for Trevathan, but it sounds like it’s a two-team race right now.

It’s clear that Trevathan will end up being a bigger winner when all is said done.

Trevathan, 25, was taken in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Broncos. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $2,204,072 rookie contract and will be an unrestricted free agent this March.

In 2015, Trevathan appeared in 15 games for the Broncos and recorded 110 tackles, no sacks, two interceptions with one of them being returned for a touchdown and six pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 6 inside linebacker out of 60 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2016 Free Agents list.
