Falcons Bringing In CB Brandon Boykin For A Visit Next WeeK

D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the Falcons are hosting free agent CB Brandon Boykin for a visit on Monday.

The Falcons previously showed some interest in Boykin and have been kicking the tires on some slot-corner options like Leon Hall in recent recent weeks.

Boykin, 25, is a former fourth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2012. He was traded to the Steelers last year for a 2016 fifth round pick after Pittsburgh sustained some injuries at cornerback.

The Panthers elected to sign him to a one-year contract back in March before cutting him loose last week.

In 2015, Boykin was active for all 16 games and recorded 25 tackles, one sack, an interception, a forced fumble and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 38 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
