Falcons Could Target TEs Niles Paul, Jordan Cameron, & Owen Daniels In FA

According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN, “it’s a safe bet” that the Falcons will express interest in Redskins TE Niles Paul in free agency.

McClure points out that Paul has previously played in new Falcons OC Kyle Shanahan’s offensive scheme, so the transition would be pretty easy for him to make.

Beyond Paul, McClure expects the Falcons to show interest in other free agent tight ends such as Jordan Cameron (Browns) and Owen Daniels (Ravens).

Previous reports had said that the Falcons could make a run at Broncos TE Julius Thomas in free agency, but according to McClure, the Falcons aren’t expected to invest heavily in a top tight end.

Last year, the Falcons gave Levine Toilolo a shot at replacing Tony Gonzalez, but that did not turn out so well. McClure writes that it remains unclear what role Toilolo will have in the Falcons’ offense next season.

We have Cameron listed as the No. 22 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
