Falcons Roster Cuts S Sergio Brown & QB Sean Renfree

The Atlanta Falcons have begun the process of trimming their roster down to 75 players. Here’s the full list of roster cuts up to this point:

Other roster moves include:

  • WR Devin Fuller (Injured Reserve)

Brown, 28, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame back in 2010. He lasted just over two years in New England before he was waived at the start of the 2012 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Colts.

The Jaguars elected to sign him to a three-year contract in May of last year before releasing him this past April in a move that freed up $2,250,000 in available cap space.

The Falcons signed him to a contract a few weeks ago.

In 2015, Brown appeared in 15 games for the Jaguars and recorded 37 tackles, 1.5 sacks, no interceptions and two pass defenses.

Renfree, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in 2013. He is in the final year of his four-year, $2.206 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.
