D. Orlando Ledbetter reports that newly signed DE Ray Edwards had offseason knee surgery which will end up keeping him out of the teams first preseason game.
Edwards did a good job of concealing the injury considering that he landed a five-year, $30 million deal in free agency from the Falcons. Atlanta is going to need Edwards to be healthy and productive for the upcoming season if their going to fend off the tough NFC South competition.
