Falcons Host RBs Jeremy Hill, Carlos Hyde and Terrance West

Vaughn McClure of ESPN, citingĀ a league source, reports that the Falcons brought in a trio of running backs today for a visit: Carlos Hyde of OSU, Jeremy Hill of LSU and Terrance West of Towson.

Atlanta appears to be looking to fortify their backfield, despite the fact that they threw the ball under OC Dirk Koetter more often than any team in the NFL.

Steven Jackson and Jacquizz Rodgers are the only running backs on the team with substantial experience, though Jackson has a lot of mileage, and Rodgers has been used as more of a change-of-pace back.

Carlos Hyde and Jeremy Hill are likely to be two of the top running backs selected in the 2014 NFL Draft, though neither is considered a first-rounder.

West, from Towson University, is likely a day three selection, but he has been attracting more attention recently and his stock is up as a result.
