Falcons Hosting TE Jacob Tamme For A Visit, Has Offers From Two Teams

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that the Falcons are hosting free agent TE Jacob Tamme for a visit on Wednesday.

  • Klis mentions that Tamme has offers from two teams including the Broncos, who reportedly stepped in and extended him an offer following the news that he is meeting with Atlanta.
  • According to Klis, Tamme is seeking a greater offensive role next season.

Tamme, 30, is a former fourth round pick of the Colts back in 2008. He spent the first four years of his career in Indianapolis before he signed a three-year contract with the Broncos back in March of 2012.

In 2014, Tamme appeared in 15 games for the Broncos and caught 14 passes for 109 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the N0. 27 tight end out of 67 qualifying players.
