Falcons Lose DE Kroy Biermann & FB Bradie Ewing For The Season

The Atlanta Falcons were forced to place DE Kroy Biermann and FB Bradie Ewing on season-ending injured reserve.

Biermann suffered a torn Achilles tendon while Ewing has a separated shoulder.

This is terrible news for the Falcons as Biermann’s versatility made him an important part of their defense. Heading into the season there were concerns regarding the Falcons ability to rush the passer, so even though Biermann has never tallied more than sacks in a single season, his loss could still have an impact on what they do upfront.

Ewing was also a starter, but it’s much easier to overcome the loss of a fullback than it is a starting defensive end. Atlanta may need to bring in some free agents for workouts in the coming days.
