Falcons Not Pursuing Ray Edwards, Rather Re-sign Tyson Clabo?

D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution writes that the Atlanta Falcons have had a “change of heart” about the idea of signing Vikings DE Ray Edwards. Earlier rumors suggested that they had Edwards sitting atop their to do list so this comes a bit of a surprise.

As we’ve discussed at length here are NFLTR, the Falcons offensive line needs to be addressed as they have three of their starters set to become free agents any minute now. OT Tyson Clabo, G Harvey Dahl and G Justin Blalock should all find plenty of interest on the open market which is why the Falcons would be wise to address these players before looking to a defensive end. Ledbetter mentions that Clabo will be their top priority.

As for Edwards, Ledbetter mentions that Eagles are the team to watch while others have speculated that the Seattle Seahawks may have interest.
