Falcons Owner Would Like To Get Matt Ryan Locked Up ASAP

Falcons owner Arthur Blank told reporters that he would like to get an extension in place for QB Matt Ryan as soon as possible, per Albert Breer.

Blank added that talks are currently in a “good place.” He wouldn’t offer up a timetable as to when a deal could be in place, but he did mention that they would like it done in the “not too distant future.”

Now that Joe Flacco and Aaron Rodgers have received their deals, the price for a franchise quarterback is pretty clear.

Flacco received $52 million guaranteed and an annual average of $20.1 million while Rodgers walked away with a reasonable $18.68 million per season and $54 million guaranteed.
