Recent reports mentioned that Hawley could be done for the season after he suffered a knee injury during Sunday’s loss to the Vikings. Holmes left the game with a foot injury.
This is horrible news for the Falcons as their offensive line was already a huge question mark. Atlanta has promoted Harland Gunn and Sean Baker from their practice squad.
Hawley, 25, signed a two-year, $6 million contract that included $3 million guaranteed with the Falcons back in March.
Holmes, 25, is in the third year of his rookie contract that’s worth $2.633 million. His base salary for the 2014 season is $570,000 and he has another $660,000 coming his way next year.
