Falcons Place Second-Round Tender On RFA WR Taylor Gabriel, Tender 3 ERFAs

The Atlanta Falcons announced that they’ve placed a second-round tender on restricted free agent WR Taylor Gabriel.

  • The Falcons also tendered contracts to exclusive rights free agents Ricardo Allen, Ben Garland and Akeem King.

The second-round tender will cost the Falcons $2.746 million for the 2017 season and net them a second-round pick if he receives an offer sheet from another team and they elect to pass on matching it.

Gabriel, 26, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Abilene Christian. The Browns elected to waive Gabriel after two years at the start of the 2016 season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Falcons.
