Ishmael, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in 2013. He played ou the final year of his four-year, $2.206 million contract and made a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season before testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time.
In 2016, Ishmael appeared in 13 games for the Falcons and recorded 52 tackles, no interceptions and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 73 safety out of qualifying 91 players.
