Falcons Re-Sign DT Corey Peters To A One-Year Deal

The Atlanta Falcons announced on Tuesday that they re-signed DT Corey Peters one-year deal.

  • Tom Pelissero reports that Peters receives a one-year deal that includes a base salary of $1 million and $500,000 in per-game roster bonuses.

Peters, 25, suffered a season-ending  Achilles’ injury back in December of last year, which likely played a large role in him signing a one-year contract.

Last year, he totaled 46 tackles and five sacks over the course of 15 games for Atlanta. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 30 defensive tackle in the league and a particularly strong run-defender.

We had Peters listed as the No. 73 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
