Falcons Release CB Deante Burton From PS, Sign CB Taveze Clahoun

The Atlanta Falcons announced Wednesday that they have released CB Deante Burton from their practice squad and signed CB Taveze Calhoun to the unit.

Here’s the Falcons updated practice squad:

  2. OT Daniel Brunskill
  3. TE Jaeden Graham
  4. TE Alex Gray (International)
  5. WR Devin Gray
  6. DB Ryan Neal
  7. DT Jacob Tuioti-Mariner
  8. DT Justin Zimmer
  9. LB Jermaine Grace
  10. G Sean Harlow
  11. CB Taveze Calhoun

Burton, 24, wound up signing on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State back in May of last year. He was waived coming ouot of the preseason and was later signed to their practice squad.

The Falcons brought Burton back on a futures contract this past January only to waive him again at the start of the regular season. He had a brief stint with the Packers before re-signing to the Falcons’ practice squad.

In 2018, Burton has appeared in one game and recorded one tackle for the Falcons.
