Falcons Release CB DeMarcus Van Dyke From I.R. With Injury Settlement

The Atlanta Falcons officially released CB DeMarcus Van Dyke from injured reserve with an injury settlement on Saturday.

Van Dyke, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Raiders back in 2011. He spent just over a year in Oakland before he was waived at the start of the 2012 season.

The Steelers later signed him to a contract before he was waived over a year later. He spent most of 2014 with the Chiefs before signing a future/reserve contract with the Vikings in January of last year.

Van Dyke signed on with the Falcons this past March.

Van Dyke last appeared in an NFL game during the 2013 season while playing for the Steelers. He recorded a single tackle over two games.
