Falcons Release QB Garrett Grayson From PS, Sign K Mike Meyer

The Atlanta Falcons announced Wednesday that they’ve released QB Garrett Grayson from their practice squad and signed K Mike Meyer to the unit.

The Falcons’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. DB Marcelis Branch
  2. OT Daniel Brunskill
  3. WR Deante Burton
  4. TE Alex Gray (International)
  5. DE J.T. Jones
  6. TE Joshua Perkins (Injured)
  7. G Jamil Douglas
  8. QB Trevor Knight (Injured)
  9. WR Reggie Davis
  10. RB Brian Hill
  11. NT Joey Ivie
  12. NT Taniela Tupou
  13. K Mike Meyer

Grayson, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Saints back in 2015. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but wound up being among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Saints later signed him to their practice squad at the start of the regular season. New Orleans signed him to a futures deal back in January but decided to cut him loose as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.

Grayson signed on to the Falcons’ practice squad last month.

In 2015, Grayson was active for one game for the Saints.
