Falcons Release Veteran WR Lance Moore From Retired List

The Atlanta Falcons officially released veteran WR Lance Moore from the reserve/retired list on Tuesday.

This implies that Moore may be looking to make a return to the NFL after sitting out the 2016 season.

Moore, 33, originally signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo back in 2005. He lasted just a few months before joining the Saints midseason.

Moore spent the first nine years of his NFL career with the New Orleans Saints before he joined the Steelers as a free agent back in 2014. Unfortunately for Moore, he was released by Pittsburgh in March of 2015 before later signing a one-year contract with the Lions.

The Falcons signed him to a contract last season, but he elected to retire in August.

Over the course of his 10-year career, Moore totaled 389 receptions for 4,816 yards receiving (12.4 YPR) to go along with 44 touchdowns for the Saints, Lions and Steelers.
