Falcons Sign 9 Players To Futures Deals Including QB Garrett Grayson

The Atlanta Falcons announced Sunday that they’ve signed nine players futures deals for the 2018 season including QB Garrett Grayson.

The full list of futures signings includes:

  1. QB Garrett Grayson
  2. S Marcelis Branch
  3. CB Deante Burton
  4. OL Daniel Brunskill
  5. DL Taniela Tupou
  6. DL Joey Ivie
  7. DL J.T. Jones
  8. WR Reggie Davis
  9. TE Alex Gray

Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.

Grayson, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Saints back in 2015. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but wound up being among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Saints signed him to their practice squad soon after and brought him back on a futures deal last January. However, they decided to cut him loose as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players at the start of the 2017 season.

Grayson eventually signed on with the Falcons and was on and off of their practice squad this season.

In 2015, Grayson was active for one game for the Saints.
