Falcons Sign CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson & Trevor Robinson, Place Desmond Trufant On I.R.

The Atlanta Falcons announced Tuesday that they’ve placed CB Desmond Trufant on injured reserve and signed CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson and C Trevor Robinson.

The Falcons also waived P Matt Wile and signed OL Kevin Graf to their practice squad.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media first reported that the Falcons would sign a cornerback following the news that Trufant will undergo surgery for a torn pectoral and be placed on injured reserve.

Wreh-Wilson, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Titans back in 2013. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.937 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $731,305 for the 2016 season when he was waived a while ago.

Wreh-Wilson has worked for a several teams in recent weeks including the Dolphins, Seahawks, Lions, Jets and Giants.

In 2015, Wreh-Wilson appeared in 10 games for the Titans and recorded 20 tackles, no interceptions, and three pass defenses.

Trufant, 22, is a former first-round pick of the Falcons back in 2013. He’s currently playing out the final year of his four-year, $8.165 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $918,558 for the 2016 season.

The Falcons elected to pick up his fifth-year option, which will run them $8.026 million next year.

In 2016, Trufant has appeared in nine games for the Falcons and recorded 31 tackles, two sacks, an interception, two forced fumbles and four pass defenses.
