Falcons Sign CB Leon McFadden, Waive RB Terrence Magee

The Atlanta Falcons announced Monday that they’ve signed CB Leon McFadden and have waived RB Terrence Magee.

The Falcons brought McFadden in for a tryout last week, so he was clearly on their radar as a potential addition.

McFadden, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Browns back in 2013. He lasted just over a year in Cleveland before he was waived and later claimed by the Jets.

After brief stints with the 49ers and Cardinals, McFadden signed to the Giants’ active roster in 2015 and returned to the team on a future/reserve contract. However, he was unfortunately among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason last year.

The Cowboys signed him to their practice squad last season before eventually calling him up. Dallas elected to place McFadden on injured reserve during the preseason and later cut him loose with an injury settlement at the start of the season.

In 2016, McFadden appeared in nine games for the Cowboys and recorded eight tackles and no interceptions.
