Falcons Sign DE Ray Edwards

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the deal is for $30 million, including $11 million guaranteed.

Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reports that the Atlanta Falcons have signed former Vikings DE Ray Edwards to a five-year deal.

The Falcons have been linked to Edwards for a number of months now and at point had said that he was their top priority heading into the offseason.

Cleveland was rumored to be aggressively pursuing him but he must have felt that Atlanta was the better opportunity.

This is another big deal for the Falcons as they addressed one of their biggest needs which was a pass rusher that can play opposite of John Abraham.
