The Atlantal Falcons announced Thursday that they’ve signed veteran DT Ahtyba Rubin and waive DL Taniela Tupou.
Rubin, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Browns back in 2008. He spent seven years in Cleveland before signing a one-year deal with the Seahawks.
Rubin was entering the second year of a three-year, $12 million contract that contained $5.5 million guaranteed and set to earn a base salary of $1.7 million this year when the Seahawks cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
The Broncos signed him to a contract a week later before cutting him loose on Tuesday.
In 16 games for the Seahawks and recorded 38 tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles, and a pass defense. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 90 interior defensive lineman out of 125 qualifying players.
