Falcons Sign LBs Omar Gaither & Jamar Chaney

The Atlanta Falcons announced that they have signed veteran linebackers Omar Gaither and Jamar Chaney to contracts.

This comes just after they placed LB Sean Weatherspoon on injured reserve with the designation to return. On Monday, the Falcons also lost DE Kroy Biermann for the season, so their defense is really hurting right now.

Gaither is likely to outside linebacker for them while Chaney has primarily played middle linebacker in the years past.

It’s worth noting that the Falcons depth at linebacker is so limited that the only players they have on their bench as undrafted free agents.
