The Falcons announced Thursday that they’ve signed veteran S Charles Godfrey to a contract extension.
- Albert Breer reports that Godfrey receives a one-year contract worth $1.5 million.
Atlanta signed Godfrey to a contract back in October of last year after he was cut loose by the Carolina Panthers.
Godfrey, 29, was set to be an unrestricted free agent in the coming days. Last year, he appeared in 11 games and recorded 19 tackles. Pro Footbal Focus has him down for playing 212 snaps this season, but he also has a very poor rating in pass coverage.
