Falcons Sign Veteran OT Pat McQuistan

The Atlanta Falcons announced that they have signed veteran OT Pat McQuistan to a contract on Monday, per Jay Adams.

  • Atlanta also placed LT Sam Baker on season-ending injured reserve.

The Falcons have already announced that they will move first-round pick Jake Matthews to left tackle with Lamar Holmes taking over at right tackle. Atlanta also has Gabe Carimi returning as well, but it makes sense for them to at least bring in some depth for the time being, even if McQuistan doesn’t make their final roster.

McQuistan, 31, signed with the Jaguars back in August of last year, but he was later released and caught on with the Titans. He last appeared in an NFL game during the 2012 season while playing for the Arizona Cardinals.
