Falcons Sign WR Roddy White To A Four-Year Extension

ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported that the Falcons had signed veteran WR Roddy White to a four-year extension.

  • According to Schefter, White’s four-year deal is worth up to $30 million and includes $18 million over the next two years.
  • Ian Rapoport reports that White will earn $11 million for the 2014 season, which puts him above Brandon Marshall in terms of base salaries.
  • Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports that White’s deal includes $10 million guaranteed.

The two parties had been working on a long-term deal for a few months now, so it’s not surprising to see them get this deal hammered out before training camp is in full effect.

Over the course of his career, White has been one of the most durable players in the NFL. In fact he missed the first games of his career this past season due to hamstring and ankle injuries.

In 2013, he caught 55 receptions for 620 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

We had White listed as the No. 23 player in our Top 25 – 2015 Free Agents list.
